Quick Reference
The SQL Server DATEADD() function adds a time/date interval to a date and then returns the date.
The following adds 3 days to the specified date.
SELECT DATEADD(day, 3, '2023/04/15') AS 'New Date';
Output
New Date
2023-04-18 00:00:00.000
Syntax
DATE_ADD(date, INTERVAL value addunit)
Parameters
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
interval | The time/date interval to add (required)
|
number | The number of interval to add to date (positive or negative) (required) |
date | The date that will be modified (required) |
