Quick Reference
The BETWEEN keyword is used to select values (numbers, text, or dates) within a given range (inclusively).
BETWEEN
The following selects all products in the Products table with a price BETWEEN 15 and 25 dollars.
SELECT * FROM Products
WHERE price BETWEEN 15 AND 25;
The following selects all products in the Products table that appear alphabetically BETWEEN an Apple MacBook Pro and Microsoft Surface.
SELECT * FROM Products
WHERE product_name BETWEEN 'Apple MacBook Pro' AND 'Microsoft Surface';
NOT BETWEEN
By adding the NOT keyword, we can select all products in the Products table with a price NOT BETWEEN 15 and 25 dollars.
SELECT * FROM Products
WHERE price NOT BETWEEN 15 AND 25;
We’d like to acknowledge that we learned a great deal of our coding from W3Schools and TutorialsPoint, borrowing heavily from their teaching process and excellent code examples. We highly recommend both sites to deepen your experience, and further your coding journey. We’re just hitting the basics here at 1SMARTchicken.
