The VIEW keyword is used to CREATE a virtual table based on the result set of an SQL statement.
CREATE VIEW
The following creates a VIEW that selects all customers from Canada.
CREATE VIEW [Canadian Customers] AS
SELECT last_name, first_name
FROM Customers
WHERE Country = 'Canada';
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW
The CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW keywords updates a VIEW.
The following adds the city column to the “Canadian Customers” VIEW.
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW [Canadian Customers] AS
SELECT last_name, first_name, city
FROM Customers
WHERE Country = 'Canada';
DROP VIEW
The DROP VIEW keywords deletes a VIEW.
The following drops the “Canadian Customers” VIEW.
DROP VIEW [Canadian Customers];
