Quick Reference
The SQL Server AVG() function returns the average value of an expression (NULL values are ignored).
The following gets the average of the price column values from the Products table
SELECT AVG(price) AS 'Average Price' FROM Products;
Output
Average Price
22.9554

AVG(expression)
