Quick Reference
The DATABASE keyword is used to create a new SQL database or delete an existing SQL database.
CREATE DATABASE
The following creates a database called “sitename_db”.
CREATE DATABASE sitename_db;
DROP DATABASE
The following deletes a database called “sitename_db”.
DROP DATABASE sitename_db;
