Quick Reference

The PHP array_merge_recursive() function merges one or more arrays into one array. If two or more elements have the same key, a nested array is created.

					<?php
$a1 = array('Car 1' => 'Lamborghini', 'Car 2' => 'Ferrari', 'Car 3' => 'Maserati');
$a2 = array('Car 1' => 'Alfa Romeo');

print_r(array_merge_recursive($a1, $a2));
?>

Output

					Array ( [Car 1] => Array ( [0] => Lamborghini [1] => Alfa Romeo ) [Car 2] => Ferrari [Car 3] => Maserati )

Syntax

					array_merge_recursive(array1, array2, array3, ...)

We’d like to acknowledge that we learned a great deal of our coding from W3Schools and TutorialsPoint, borrowing heavily from their teaching process and excellent code examples. We highly recommend both sites to deepen your experience, and further your coding journey. We’re just hitting the basics here at 1SMARTchicken.
