Quick Reference
The fadeIn() method gradually changes, fades in, the opacity for the selected element from completely hidden to completely visible. The visible item will now take up space on the page, affecting the layout.
$('div').fadeIn();
Syntax
$(selector).fadeIn(speed, easing, callback)
$('button').click(function() {
$('div').fadeIn(2000, 'swing');
});
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| speed | Specifies the speed of the effect; possible values (default value is 400 milliseconds):
|
| easing | Specifies the speed of the element in different points of the effect; possible values (default value is “swing”):
|
| callback | A function to be executed after the method is completed |
