Quick Reference

The String startsWith() method returns “true” if a string starts with a specified string, if not, it returns “false”. The startsWith() method is case sensitive.

let my_message = 'Hello World';
let result =  my_message.startsWith('Hello'); // search entire string

// output to the HTML element
document.getElementById('my_output').innerHTML = result;

let result =  my_message.startsWith('World', 6); // start at position 6

// output to the HTML element
document.getElementById('my_output').innerHTML = result;

Parameters
