Quick Reference

The Element isEqualNode() returns true if two elements are equal.

To be equal they must have the:

  • Same nodeType
  • Same nodeName
  • Same nodeValue
  • Same nameSpaceURI
  • Same childNodes with all the descendants
  • Same attributes and attribute values
  • Same localName and prefix
