Quick Reference

The Date setUTCMonth() method sets the month (0 to 11) of a Date object, according to UTC: January = 0, February = 1, March = 2 … December = 11.

It can also set the day of the month.

Syntax

				
					Date.setUTCMonth(month, day)
				
			

Parameters

ValueDescription
monthThe month (0 to 11) (required)
Other values:
  • -1 will result in the last month of the previous year
  • 12 will result in the first month of the next year
dayThe day (0 to 31)
Other values:
  • 0 gives the last day of the previous month
  • -1 gives the day before the last day of the previous month
  • 32 gives the first day of the next month (if 31 days)
