The box-decoration-break property specifies how the properties of an element are applied when the box for the element is broken onto two lines.

These are the allowed values.

Value	Description
auto	Lets the browser calculate the edge position (default)
length	Sets the edge position in px, cm, etc; negative values are allowed
%	Sets the edge position in % of containing element; negative values are allowed
initial	Sets this property to its default value
inherit	Inherits this property from its parent element

Using JavaScript

The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.

document.getElementById('my_div').style.boxDecorationBreak = 'slice';
