Value | Description |
---|---|
length | A length unit specifying the size of the border-width |
number | Represents multiples of the corresponding border-width (default value 1) |
% | Refers to the size of the border image area: the width of the area for horizontal offsets, the height for vertical offsets |
auto | If specified, the width is the intrinsic width or height of the corresponding image slice |
initial | Sets this property to its default value |
inherit | Inherits this property from its parent element |

The HTML element can also be styled using JavaScript and the element’s id.
